Pure Asphalt was established in 1947 in London, under the management of the Oddi and Gregori families. By 1952 the company had relocated to Bolton, Lancashire, where it continues to operate today.
The company remained a family-run business until 1974, when it was bought by the Wimpey Corporation, subsequently trading as Pure Asphalt, a division of Wimpey Asphalt.
In 1994 Pure Asphalt was purchased by a management buy-in. Under the new leadership the company's interests are now divided between manufacturing and its specialist contracting division, both of which are dedicated to satisfying customer needs.
Pure Asphalt operate a quality management system and have been awarded the BSI Certificate of Registration No. FM 36232 to BS EN ISO 9001:2008. We also produce and lay mastic asphalt under BS Kitemark Licence for waterproofing and flooring to BS 6925 and paving to the new European standard BS EN ISO 13108/6.
We strive to produce mastic asphalt at competitive prices, and to provide an unrivalled delivery service for both hot charges and block deliveries on pallets. Customer demand for single pallets to full HIAB and fork lift offloads can be delivered anywhere in the British Isles together with the full range of mastic asphalt accessories.
A plant hire fleet which includes asphalt mixers from 1/2 tonne to 20 tonne capacity and a mobile delivery fleet covering the range from 1 tonne capacity self propelled asphalt mixers to 16 tonne hot charge delivery transporters. These include 5 to 7 tonne capacity 'rigid' delivery vehicles and a fleet of 15/16 tonne articulated trailers for the delivery of any grade of mastic asphalt hot charged directly to site.
Pure Asphalt has won a reputation for its ability to take on contracts few others will attempt. This philosophy of problem-solving forms a major part of the company's existing and future plans.
No mastic asphalt job is too small nor one too large for Pure Asphalt to complete.
